I have been playing a lot with cutting paper, images, and posting words that inspire me on a visual board. I was trying to think of ways to incorporate both together and I started thinking about collage and/or mixed media. I tend to have a notebook for everything. Talk about making lists, I have a notebook for each list! One notebook specifically is used just for goals and dreams. I thought it would be great to have a notebook cover that already evokes that. Here were a few pieces that caught my eye with both collage and mixed media.
Claudine Hellmuth creates mixed media collages that incorporate paper, paint, fabric, and photocopies. She has been seen on Martha Stewart showing how she designs her pieces. I love the colors shes uses and the retro feel.
Brooklyn Based Press Shop. They seem to make great things on just about anything paper. This one is on a vine book with Britannica scraps circa 1880 framing it.
I love the words she uses on all her pieces. It could make you not dread looking at your calendar.
This Artist is awesome! She might have some of the most fun, unique notebooks I have yet to see. She takes everything from Bingo boards, Monopoly boards, and Legos and turns them into reusable notebooks.
