Last week I got to visit one of my dearest friends and old roommates, Vanessa. It doesn’t matter where you are or what you are doing if you are around Vanessa, it is sure to be a great time! It also helps that she appreciates food just as much as me!
I don’t have a great opening picture for this post because 1) I am one of those people who wants to capture every moment by camera but I tend to be in the moment so much that I forget to click away and 2) the first thing we did right when I got to her amazing apartment was go straight to eat. There were so many fun parts of the trip, like my 1 am rickshaw rideĀ around the city to find my scarf, but I will spare you the details since the blog in the first place is mostly around paper and inspirations. As you can see below this week I was inspired by great friends, family, food and my love for Boston. So let’s just start here! We went to Neptune Oyster in the North End for oysters and the lobster roll. While I was there I also had the chance to meet the fabulous Melissa of Yours Truly Paper!
Then it was off to Harpoon Brewery for a beer tasting. Even though I am not a drinker, I had fun experiencing the brewery.
On my way back, I spotted this Iron Maiden Ship
Then it was time for dinner at Bacco in the North End
Next day we went to a great brunch at Joe’s American Bar & Grill
Then off to Johnny Cupcakes to see how many people came in the store thinking it was a bakery {4 people while I was there}.
I also went to my Uncle Diego’s salon to say hi. Great place!
Next night we kept it low key downstairs from her apartment at Chef Jean-Georges, Market for dinner and then hit a few places after that.
The last day was amazing because I got to spend it with my cousins, Theo and Kara. We went back to the North End where my family {8 aunts and uncles!} is from and where I had the best childhood memories. We went to the doorstep where my mom and his mom grew up to take some pictures for them and it meant a lot to me as well. I really didn’t want to leave them, it was such a great day and I almost had tears in my eyes. Either that or I was a bit tipsy
It just felt great being surrounded by family.

In the last hours I finally hit Paper Source on Boylston Street! I was so excited, since I had been wanting to get there before I even got off the plane. It definitely didn’t disappoint and next week I will share my purchases. I love every one of them!
As you can tell Boston and great food is what has been making me happy lately
What has been inspiring you?
